Hello everybody! I feel that a little update is necessary! In October 2009 I started recording some new stuff for Gungfly. I just barricaded myself in our rehearsal studio for a couple of days and started recording! Then some other stuff came up so I didn’t do anything with it until just recently. The songs I’ve been working on are of a varied style (what else, right?); there’s some soul stuff with a kind of Todd Rundgren / Shuggie Otis vibe going on, there’s also a song with a more progressive metal approach to it, some regular ol’ rock and of course some acoustic stuff that I’m currently working on (apart from a new Beardfish album which is coming along nicely, I can tell you!).
I have, however, decided to share one of the finished songs with you! I mean it’s almost February, consider it a late x-mas gift! This song is probably going to be the single (I’m using the term loosely) for the next album, although I have no idea when I’ll be finished with the album itself – I’m on my way though… So here it is, the first part of two in a suite called “The Dying City” and its name is “White Light”, with a complementary picture and everything. Hope you’ll like it!
